The Foundation is committed to raising and directing funds to purchase much-needed equipment at the WestView Health Centre, bridging the gap between government funds and the demands the WestView Health Centre experiences. The Foundation also supports programming at the Centre and in our communities, such as the Wishing You Wellness Program.

Established in 2011, the partnership between the WestView Health Centre Foundation and the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC). The program’s objective is to ensure equity and inclusiveness within the Tri-region for the program recipients. Focusing on removing barriers for the diverse population that needs quality programming to create and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. A real impact is made when barriers are removed, and inclusiveness is kept front of mind. 

“Being a recipient of the Wishing You Wellness Program has helped to play a vital role in a complete healthcare plan, taking care of my physical and mental being. I use the recumbent bike and walk the track with my service dog, who helps monitor my heart rate. The program has not only enabled me to continue my prescribed healthcare regime, but it also provides me access to a welcoming and inclusive community.
